Sudden Ensemble. Live in Long Branch.

The new songs are excellent, and the second album will be available soon. This mercurial duo is playing only their second stateside show, as far as I know. So I recommend getting while the getting's good. Because then it might get going and be gone or something like that. I'm not the PR guy, what do I know?

Thursday night, February 11 at The Brighton Bar in Long Branch, NJ. According to the schedule, tickets are $6.00. I can afford that on a blogger's salary. So consequently, I will be there. So come say high to your favorite blogger, or even me, for that matter. I'm told that Sudden Ensemble should be coming on around 9:15 PM.

New songs are on their MySpace page. Songs from the first album appear at the Sudden Ensemble page at ApacheMatrix11. The first album is available from Angelika Kohlermann (Austria).

And I'm posting Antwerp just because I can. At least I think so, but as far as I'm concerned a C & D letter would mean somebody read this blog. At least one somebody. Besides me.

Sudden EnsembleAntwerp.

Mp3's will remain available until I remember that they've been up kind of long and should probably take them down so someone goes and buys something. That's my disclaimer.

Molly Crabapple

I love the name, and I love the illustrations, and by golly she's kinda cute, too.

She's also got a show (Tarts and Flowers) going on in New York this month. (Feb. 8-27, Opening Party Sat, Feb. 11.) You can purchase some of her work online prior to, or I suppose you could go there in person and try to do the same. That might be more fun, and definitely more social. I hear people are much more interactive in person than when online. Or maybe that's just hearsay.

And apparently the show posters should be available online soon as well.

So show Ms. Crabapple some love. I think I'll be buying a poster for my sister. She's waffling on a pair of prints, but with a limited set of 10 she better just make with the syrup, drown those suckers and start chowing down.

DAMN!

I'm a big fat cheater, but I'll admit it upfront. I mean…I haven't gone to bed yet, so why can't I count this posting for Feb. 3, right?

Yeah, I know. But it's my freakin' blog as the name of it says and it ain't thisblogisyourblog, so too effin' bad.

The date for this posting reads 2/3/06 and that's that.

Rather than be a complete scumbag I will include some worthy link for your viewing pleasure.

Well…worthy is in the eye of the beholder. But anyway, most people are familiar by now with those who express their humour through Amazon reviews. And I came across one by accident after following a link for The Toilet Monster. So I present to you C. Amidon “Kholera”.

Happy February

My February is starting on a down note. It seems a good time for a Blue Moon. I did not know it was owned by Coors. This bums me out a bit, but then I take another sip and enjoy it. There's a local place that serves this on tap, and the bartender squeezes some orange in it, and it's beyond the best beer ever.

I'm not here to talk about beer. I just want to post something to kick off the month, and to make the claim that I will post every day of this month. A feat which has never been done at thisblogismyblog.
